Outdoor Education Group

Want to be better prepared for Summer Camp work? Working at a Summer Camp now and want to get into the industry when you get home?

Here is a great way to make that happen with the “Outdoor Education Group (OEG)”!

  • Complete your certificate III and IV Traineeship in Outdoor Recreation NSW.

The Outdoor Education Group envision a world where more people think and act to support positive relationships with themselves, dynamic, healthy communities and the sustainability of life. The Outdoor Education Group have a partnership with the Western Institute of TAFE, who deliver the Certificate III and Certificate IV training.

Based in Moss Vale, the Traineeship allows you to work in the outdoors while you are studying. The traineeship is a 2 year course that allows you to earn while you learn.

Do you have a desire to work in outdoor education, including demonstrated experience in outdoor leadership and a drive to work with young people?

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • High level of personal organisational skills
  • Desire to work with children in the outdoors
  • Bushwalking/Canoeing/climbing/river (canoe, kayak, raft)/cycling and / or skiing is desirable experience
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Desire to use the outdoor medium to teach to educational outcomes
