WHUSA – Mammoth Mountain
NOTE: This is a Working Holiday USA Program – You must be an Australian or New Zealand Passport holder to be eligible.
Looking to work and play at the top of California? Look no further! Mammoth Mountain has your recipe for an epic experience at California’s highest resort. Take 3,500 acres of terrain for all ability levels, add 400+ inches of annual snowfall, plus the # 1 rated terrain park in North America, where many of the world’s best skiers and riders are regularly seen. Top it all off with 300+ annual days of sweet California sunshine and it doesn’t get any better than this!
The Mammoth crowd travels from Los Angeles and San Diego where it continues its beach party style and attitude. There’s plenty of winter fun to go around, even when the lifts stop turning! The most active Apres Ski festivities are at the Mammoth base lodges including everyone’s favorite, “Tusk’s” in the main lodge. On a warm sunny day the deck will be full of sun worshipers listening to a live band. As soon as the sun sets below the mountains, all activities move indoors to numerous clubs and restaurants. In recent years, The Village at Mammoth has forged a raucous identity and the town of Mammoth Lakes piles on from there.

Hi,
What is the cost for this?
I hold a New Zealand Liquor Licence Controller Qualification, would this be of any use?
Regards
Emma Cullimore
Hi Emma – Some qualifications like this can be useful although most are not recognised in the USA (or other countries than that issued) however it shows you have taken the steps to ensure responsible consumption.
Do you have to be a current student to be eligible for the visa?
Hi Daniel – You need to be a current full time tertiary student or graduated within 12 months of your arrival into the USA. You must also have completed at least your first year of studies if you’re deferring. Check out the eligibility page from the web site for further details -> http://www.ccusa.com.au/ProgramsOffered/WorkingHolidayUSA/Eligibility.aspx
Hi,
I also have an Ambulance Officer Diploma (I am a qualified EMT) is this of any use aswell?
Also my study is part-time, but I understand it can only be full-time study that makes you eligible?
Regards Emma
All job positions are up to the individual employers. They place staff based on their needs. Any additional qualifications that people have may or may not be beneficial. Obviously for safety, an EMT would be very beneficial however your certification may not mean anything over there.
As for student status – You must be full time. Part time does not qualify. The visa has very strict requirements on it.
